Babies’ New Crocs

Posted: July 4, 2010 in Babies

Today we waked up around 8.00am, took our early bath, then we drove out and had our breakfast. We had our Dim Sum breakfast at SS15, Subang Jaya. Issac and Belle had their half bowl of pork porridge with century eggs (皮蛋瘦肉粥) as their breakfast, whereby Daddy and I had some Roast Pork Bun (义燒包), Shrimp Dumpling (蝦餃), Pork Dumpling  (燒賣), Steamed Pork Rib (蒸排骨), Shanghai Steamed Bun (上海小籠包), etc. Then, babies had their Milo Ice and adults had our Teh C Ice. We had a great meal.

Then, we went to the new shopping centre near Subang Parade – The Empire Shopping Gallery. Well, it is not a big shopping, but nice to walkabout. You would not feel tire, it is just nice.

P7040050 Daddy had found a Crocs Shoe Shop, and bought both the babies, their first Crocs Clogs.

Issac’s is a Toy Story Kids’ Custom Clog in green colour base and with the blue colour band with the Toy Story wordings on it. The Left clog is with Woody on it and the right clog is with Buzz Lightyear on it. The background is some others cartoon characters such as Mr & Mrs Potatoes, Pig, etc engraved in the same green colour.

P7040047 Belle’s is a Hello Kitty Kids’ Custom Clog which is combination of light and dark pink colour. The Left is the small bunny with some flowers, fence on the green grasses, whereby the right clog is the Hello Kitty sitting on the green grasses.

Mummy and Daddy knew that Crocs is a famous brand, but we did not expect that the price would be so expensive, as both pairs of kid’s shoes costs around RM258.00. Woah! but it is really a pair of good looking shoes. Mummy really likes it, both pairs was so cute and adorable. Just hope that the shoes would not be missing when both wear to school…

Belle Fall Sick…Coxsackie Virus

Posted: May 31, 2010 in Babies

P5310013 Belle fall sick again…this time downed with Coxsackie Virus – another word of Hand, Foot and Mouth (HFM) Disease. Last Thursday, 28 May 2010, the day before Wesak Day, Mummy had brought Annabelle to Dr. Liew’s Clinic due to she already had fever for 3 days. Before that, mummy had brought her to Dr. Choy, still the fever wouldn’t come down even had the medication. On Saturday, 30 May 2010 itself, she started hasn’t eaten and keep on grumbling.

This morning, went to Dr. Liew again, confirmed that Belle got the HFM. According to him, there is a lot of blisters in her mouth, her gums also becomes reddish and easily bleeding, smelly already. Dr. Liew gave Belle an Antibiotic and the Cataflam 1,5% to relief her soreness, and advised that Belle stay at home for 5 days at least to reduce the viral transmissions to other kids. So, Mummy has to take leave for 1 week to take care of her.

P5310012 Mummy purposely sneak out to Guardian while Belle was taking her nap to buy the Vidaylin Minibears Gummies with Garden Vegetables and Glocolin, cost Mummy around RM60.00, and not forgetting the Consultation Fee is RM130.00.

Today, Belle had half a bowl of Bakuteh which Mummy cooked, a lot of Ribena and Vidaylin Minibears Gummies. The one which made me most happy is she is taking solid food – fried rice, even 3 tablespoon but is enough for me already. Hope she will recover soon…

While Mummy fetched Issac, mummy keep on remind him regular washing his hands to prevent he is the next one whom get infected. But, I think most of all: I am the one who should practice the strict hygienic precautions such as hand washing after every diaper changing or touching infected skin. Attempts to regularly clean items that children contact, especially toys, pacifiers, and any items they may place in their mouths, may also reduce viral transmission.

Really have to learn how to become a MOTHER…

What Is a Mother?

A mother is not replaceable in a child’s heart. If you are holding this book in hand, there is a child in your life that you are mothering in some way. Have you ever taken the time to think about what an amazing job it is to be a mother? What is a mother to you? What did you receive from your mother that you want to pass on to your children? What did you wish you received? What are you dreams as a mother? Who are you to your child? Take 15 minutes to think and write about what it means to be mother.

IMG_0845 Ever since Daddy bought the new Canon 500D, he likes to carry his new ‘pet’ to snap his photo. And, this is the first time he used his ‘new tripod’ to snap official family photo,as previously he just took our photos only. Ok, official launching and opening!

Family Journal

Find a place to put a large blank book so family members know where it is and will be encouraged to write regularly. This blank book can be used as a daily diary or as a special events book. Children too young to write can dictate stories and draw handprints. Those too young to talk can be represented by weekly pictures with descriptions of new things they can do. The book can contain all aspects of family life. Visitors can write their names and a little about their visits, children can write their Christmas or birthday wish lists, baby’s first words can be recorded, pictures drawn at school can be glued in. We guarantee this book will be a sought-after treasure in years to come.

It seems like Issac had been settled down and started to enjoy his school. Again, the Hari Raya Party, this time you choose your favourite T-Shirts and pants. As usual, there was a lot of titbits and drinks for all the children in the school. Just that, the long tables is for the 3 Year and 4 Year kids celebration.

You do really enjoyed your party with your friends…

PB211125PB211124Mummy is so happy that overall his progress is improving. The teacher’s comments on the term 1 and term 2 really can see the differences.

Really touching when you see your son is improving everyday, really want to cry…

One will have to become a father or mother then, only he or she will know what and how the feels or experience being a mother or father.

Children Learn What They Live

If children live with pity, they learn to feel sorry for themselves.

If children live with ridicule, they learn to feel shy.

If children live with jealousy, they learn to feel envy.

If children live with shame, they learn to feel guilty.

If children live with encouragement, they learn confidence.

If children live with tolerance, they learn patience.

If children live with recognition, they learn it is good to have a goal.

If children live with sharing, they learn generosity.

If children live with honesty, they learn truthfulness.

If children live with fairness, they learn justice.

If children live with kindness and consideration, they learn respect.

If children live with security, they learn to have faith in themselves and in those about them.

If children live with friendliness, they learn the world is a nice place in which to live.

Today is the day to meet up with the teachers and discuss Issac’s academic and non-academic progress. Teacher Joyce had given a time slot of 15 minutes and ours was at 9:30am. Due to Daddy had a early site meeting that need to be attended, thus we went to Brainchild earlier, just in case if can slot in earlier time slot, if some of the parents cannot attend earlier. And, Daddy and Mummy were so lucky. We managed to squeeze at time 8:45am because one of the parents late.

P1011107We were discussing with Teacher Joyce about Issac’s progress. All of us including Teacher Joyce are agreed and happy seeing Issac’s development either in academic and non-academic. Because both Daddy and Mummy can see the progress of Issac. Issac has improve a lot, from his conduct, health, moral development, music and movement arts & craft, numerical development, phonological awareness, emotional development, physical development and personal social development, etc. Mummy can see the tears in Teacher Joyce’s eyes. It’s the joyous tears. During Mummy told Teacher Joyce that Mummy was so happy when got to know Issac had the Best Improvement Award in his class. Mummy’s tears burst out. Teacher Joyce was teasing Mummy do not make her cry too.

When we were talking about Issac’s character, Daddy did mention that Issac is the kind of boy that introvert. Teacher Joyce advised that not to scold him or beat him when he is doing something wrong, but to encourage him. This will built his confidence level. She also advised that have to talk to him slowly and softly, so that he will tell anything that he is not happy and keep inside his heart. And, will make his imbalance of his emotion. Issac is still young now, so it is still ok that to mould him still. We thanked Teacher Joyce for her guidance, and thanked to Patrick and Theresa too.

We had gifted 2 T-Shirts for Issac and Annabelle from the Mamil Gold promotion team which stationed at the front gate. What a Day!

Issac, A Happy Helper

P1011068P1011067Seeing our own children growing every moment, everyday is really a big satisfaction. Especially, when he or she starts getting to know bit by bit, the things around him or her. Teacher Ho ever told Mummy that, Issac is a helping boy.

At home, he started to help Mummy doing some of the small chores already. Now, after having dinner, Mummy will give both Belle and Issac own drinking cup of water. While Mummy is doing the dish washing at the kitchen, after he had his drinks, he will helping Mummy watch out for Belle, because most of the time, Belle will pouring the water from her cup to the floor. The big brother will get the floor mat to dry up the wet area. Mummy was so amazed by seeing him doing that.

A big brother take cares of his little sister…

P1011069Baby loves to help around the house, and jobs that involve water are a big hit. Pour two tablespoons white vinegar into a small spray bottle and fill it with water. Show baby how to spray the window, then polish it with a paper towel. When you finish the windows, how about the floor? Put about four inches of warm soapy water into a cleaning bucket ( one or two drops of mild liquid dish soap will do ). Put two sponges in the bucket and work together on a small area. Show baby how to squeeze the extra water out of the sponge before putting it on the floor. Baby may or may not care whether the floor resembles a large puddle, but he will derive great satisfaction from working with you.
